Tina Landau
<meta charset="UTF-8"/>Tina Landau is a writer and director whose original works include the musicals Redwood (direction, book, co-lyrics with composer Kate Diaz) starring Idina Menzel, and Floyd Collins (direction, book, additional lyrics) with composer-lyricist Adam Guettel, both of which will be on Broadway this season; Dream True (with Ricky Ian Gordon); and her plays Ms. Blakk for President (with Tarrel McCraney), Space, and Beauty. Broadway: Mother Play, SpongeBob SquarePants (also conceiver), Superior Donuts, Bells Are Ringing. Off-Broadway includes Old Hats, Big Love, Iphigenia 2.0, A Civil War Christmas, Head of Passes, In the Red and Brown Water and Wig Out! Her work’s been recognized by the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Lucille Lortel awards and more. She’s the co-author with Anne Bogart of The Viewpoints Book, and an ensemble member of Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago where she’s directed over 20 productions.
