Kimber Lee
Plays include brownsville song (b-side for tray), fight, different words for the same thing, and tokyo fish story. In 2014, Center Theatre Group presented the world premiere of different words for the same thing in Los Angeles, directed by Neel Keller. Lee’s work has also been presented by the Lark Play Development Center, Humana Festival, Page 73, Hedgebrook, Seven Devils, the Bay Area Playwrights Festival, Magic Theatre, Southern Rep, ACT/Seattle, and TheatreWorks/Palo Alto. Lee is a Lark Playwrights’ Workshop Fellow, member of Ma-Yi Writers Lab, and is under commission at Hartford Stage, South Coast Rep, Denver Center, and LCT3. Recipient of the 2013 PoNY Fellowship, 2014 Ruby Prize, and 2014-2015 Aetna New Voices Fellowship at Hartford Stage. Education: MFA, University of Texas at Austin.
