Hamish Linklater

HAMISH LINKLATER is an actor, writer, director, and producer known for his work on the stage, television, and film. His theater credits include Cymbeline, Much Ado About Nothing, Merchant of Venice, Comedy of Errors, Twelfth Night (Shakespeare in the Park) and has earned Drama Desk, Lortel, Outer Critic's Circle award nominations, as well as an Obie award. Linklater can currently be seen in the critically acclaimed Nickel Boys for Amazon/MGM from writer/director RaMell Ross. Linklater’s other TV and film credits include The Big Short, “Midnight Mass,” “Manhunt,” “Fargo,” “Newsroom” and “Gaslit.” As a playwright he is the author of Paris, Actors! (Williamstown Theatre Festival), The Whirligig (New Group), The Vandal (The Flea). Hamish and Lily Rabe’s co-directorial debut Downtown Owl premiered at Tribeca in 2023 (Sony, Netflix).
