Eric Rosen

Mr. Rosen was recently appointed Artistic Director of Kansas City Repertory Theatre and was co-founder and Artistic Director of Chicago's About Face Theatre from 1995-2008. Rosen developed Clay and directed About Face/Lookingglass production in 2006, the Center Theatre Group production in 2007, and the KC Rep production this fall. Directing credits: Kansas City Rep, About Face, Steppenwolf, Goodman, Chicago Shakespeare, Center Theatre Group, Lookingglass, Prince Music Theatre, Melbourne Theatre Company, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Hartford Stage, St. Louis Rep. Mr. Rosen is also a librettist and playwright, and his original projects include the musicals Winesburg, Ohio, Undone, and Whitman, and the plays Dream Boy, Dancer from the Dance, and Wedding Play. Dramaturgy and producing highlights include the pre-NY premiere of I Am My Own Wife, One Arm and 33 Variations with Moises Kaufman, Loving Repeating with Frank Galati and Stephen Flaherty, and Eleven Rooms of Proust with Mary Zimmerman.
