Ellen Fairey
a native of Chicago, is making her New York debut with Graceland, her second full length play. Her first, Girl, 20, presented by Serendipity Theatre, was named one of the Top Ten Plays of 2006 by Chicago Tribune and was nominated for two LA Weekly awards. Graceland was originally presented by Chicago's Profiles Theatre. Other works include Tuning in El Paso and Chill is Good (Chicago's Collaboration Sketchbook Festival) and her short play, Aloha From Palm Springs (Edward Albee's Last Frontier Theatre Conference). She is currently working on a new play commission from theatre producers Ulu Grosbard and Rhoda Herrick. She is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
