Ms. Marvel has won four Obie Awards for her off-Broadway work, most notably for the title role in Ivo Van Hove's 2004 production of Hedda Gabler. Additional off-Broadway productions include Mary Tyrone in Long Day’s Journey Into Night (Lortel, Drama League award noms.), Fifty Words (Drama Desk nom) and Phillip Roth’s Sabbath’s Theater. On TV Marvel recently starred in the “Love and Death” (HBO Max) and “The Dropout” (Hulu) and in the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series “Presumed Innocent.” Additional TV includes include “Mrs. Davis” (Peacock), “Helstrom” (Hulu), “Homeland” (Showtime), “House Of Cards” (Netflix), “Unbelievable,” “Manifest,” “Fargo,” “Law And Order: SVU,” “Person Of Interest,” “The District,” “Lights Out,” “Nurse Jackie,” “30 Rock,” “The Good Wife,” “The Newsroom,” “White Collar,” and “Elementary.” In film, Marvel can most recently be seen in Blitz Bazawule’s adaptation of The Color Purple. Additional film credits include News of The World, The Meyerowitz Stories, Native Son, The Land of Steady Habits, Swallow, All The Little Things We Kill, Dark Waters, Lincoln, Bourne Legacy, Hyde Park On Hudson, A Most Violent Year and the upcoming G20 (Amazon Prime) alongside Viola Davis.
